From July 2nd to 6th, 2018, Lianyungang City Public Security Bureau successfully detected criminal gangs targeting foreign import merchants in Chengyang District, Qingdao, and implemented online contract fraud in the field of international freight forwarding. The gang arrested 17 suspects and uncovered 12 cases of foreign contract fraud. The amount involved is equivalent to 2.12 million yuan, which has been fully recovered.
"International freight forwarders" cheated huge freight
From March to May 2018, when Uzbekistan’s Taleplast Company imported goods from China to Uzbekistan, it entrusted the Chinese party "Huanya International Freight Forwarding Company" (hereinafter referred to as Huanya Company) to value the company through the Internet. Nearly ten million yuan worth of container cargo was shipped to Uzbekistan.
After receiving US$180,000 in freight, “Jiang”, a salesperson of Uniasia, failed to pay the freight to an international logistics company in Lianyungang, the actual freight forwarder, and lost contact. The logistics company detained Uzbekistan's container cargo because it did not receive the freight. On June 22, Mattila, the business manager of Taller Plaster, went to the Economic Investigation Detachment of Lianyungang Public Security Bureau to report the case.
Based on the basic identification of the case and the circumstances of the case, the task force sent six police officers to Qingdao to arrest them on July 6, 2018. The suspect "Jiang" (real name Yu) was arrested in an office building in Chengyang District, Qingdao that night, and 14 other persons involved in the case were controlled on the spot. In view of the large number of people involved in the case, the arrest team reported to the provincial department through the command center on the one hand, and coordinated the Qingdao police with vigorous assistance.
On the other hand, all police officers from the Economic Investigation Detachment rushed to Qingdao overnight to provide reinforcements. With the strong assistance of Qingdao police, the main criminals Wang and Tian were arrested one after another. All policemen involved in the war carried out review, screening, seizure, and evidence collection of the 17 members involved in the case, and then escorted them back to Lianyungang, and recovered all the money involved in the case of 180,000 dollars.
